Product Launches. That’s the first word that comes to my mind when I read through the Guru Assassin. Johnny Andrews, while apparently being hugely successful as a product vendor on ClickBank, is a marketer I had not heard of until today. (Ok, so maybe I do live under a rock). However, I was really impressed with the numbers he was showing.
On that note, you should know that the screen shots on his sales page are indeed real earnings, but they are earnings from his own product launches/releases. Johnny seems to have mastered what is now commonly referred to as “The Rolling Launch” model. It’s actually quite powerful, and to my knowledge, was first talked about by Rich Schefren on his blog a month or two back.
The Guru Assassin doesn’t come right out and call it that, and for all I know Johnny never reads Rich’s blog. But it was the first thing I thought about when I finished module 1. Just so you know, that’s NOT a knock on The Guru Assassin. He carries it out quite effectively as you can see from his staggering “out of no where” Click Bank product rankings. This stuff DOES WORK.
But who is it for?
The Guru Assassin, in my opinion of course, is for the person who is looking to make money by teaching others how to make money online. AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT! That being said, this IS NOT a “Fake it till you make it” guide. Johnny talks about how to master ONE area of internet marketing, and become the authority in that subject in a very short amount of time. His tips on this subject reflect exactly how I got started myself…
Almost every Guru, infact, follows his instructions whether they know it or not. A Jack of all trades doesn’t make nearly as much money as an authority figure does. Heck, I’m pretty darn good at PPC, but you’ll never see me charging what Perry Marshal can charge for Adwords Coaching. You know why? Because Perry is KNOWN for being the Adwords man.
On the other hand, I’m largely known as the “Buying and Selling Websites” authority guy. Is that the only thing I know how to do? Of course not! And the same is true for everyone else in the industry. You think the only thing Frank Kern knows how to do is orchestrate a product launch? Nope! But he gets paid a handsome fee to help with that because he’s established himself as the go to guy for Product Launches, and Johnny’s “Guru Assassin” will help you focus more to where you’ll be able to be known for something like that as well.
The best thing I took away from this guide was his strategy for gaining lots of affiliates to promote anything he puts out. He doesn’t put all his eggs in one basket, that’s for sure, and its a valuable lesson to learn. I remember attempting several launches myself where I was depending on one guru who had a list of like 500,000 to mail for me, and I ended up waiting about 6 months for him to come through. Johnny approaches it quite differently, and in the process, he picks up those with the giant lists on his way to the top by default. It’s pretty good actually.
His methods are less stressful and create cash flow immediately rather than having to put 3 months of work into a project before you can see any return on it. As a marketer to marketers myself, I know that the preparation time for an elaborate Mass Control style launch can wear you out fast, and sometimes it can fall flat on the floor. But going with a “Rolling Launch” model can actually be a lot more profitable, and sustainable overtime.
Johnny’s original product, The Money Siphon System is still earning him between $6,000- $10,000 per month, and strangely, its actually growing each month! That’s completely opposite from what you see today with most wham bam thank you mam approaches where the guru makes a million bucks in a day, and then its dead.
Along with your purchase, you get a long series of “how to” videos ranging from autoresponder setup, list building tactics, FTP instructions, several templates that Johnny uses, and other freebies that make it nice not having to go out and spend a lot more money after the course is purchased. His estimated cost of conducting a product launch is $100, including graphic design, which is actually amazing! I tend to spend like $1,500 or more on a solid launch, but I can clearly see where I’m wasting money after going through The Guru Assassin. Less is more. Focus seems to really be everything.
All in all, I’d say that The Guru Assassin is probably a great place to start for the person interested in learning how to PROPERLY sell to anyone in our crowd. If you’re active in the internet marketing community and you’ve struggled to pull in any serious income from your product releases, it might just be what the doctor ordered. Check it out if you’ve got anything coming out anytime soon. Every angle you can get on your release will help. And Johnny’s thoughts are definately valid on the subject.
