DON’T BUY THIS. IT’S THE WORST EBOOK I’VE EVER READ IN MY LIFE!
In fact, I’m a bit ashamed of Chris X for putting the DJK brand on this steaming pile of garbagge. Excuse my harsh language, but seriously, his refund rate is going to be like 30-40% I would guess…Maybe higher.
People who have never heard of an affiliate program and need to know how that whole tricky affiliate link thing works
People who have been living under the worlds largest rock and have never set up an Adwords campaign before.
People who don’t mind throwing $1,000’s away in hopes to recoup some of that on a miracle campaign.
You know, I’m a pretty nice guy by most people’s standards, and it’s really hard for me to write a negative review. Even when I have to do it, I try to pull SOME positive aspect from the product for those who are seriously interested.
Google Shadow however, takes the cake for worst product release of 2009 so far in my honest review. There really isn’t any more to say without telling you the entire concept, which I can’t rightfully do. Lets just say that its something you probably heard about back when you began using Adwords. And you won’t likely be learning anything new.
The shiny software that comes with Google Shadow basically serves the purpose of automating the creation of Adgroups so you can write more crappy expensive non converting ads. It’s really nothing to write home about and I highly recommend you DO NOT spend $67 on this product.
The saddest part of this entire thing is that way back when Chris launched the original Day Job Killer product, I REALLY liked it. It was a very good guide that contained lots of meat and strategies for making money with Google Adwords.
After releasing Google Shadow (giving him grace on the releases of Google Nemesis, and Google Assassin), I have to say, sorry Chris…3 Strikes and YOU’RE OUT!
Following him down the tubes are those affiliates who chose to mail this product out with a great recommendation to their list. On this note, another really sad thing for me was to see the Rich Jerk promote this product.
His credability is also going to be damaged quite a bit as a result in my opinion. He’s been the top affiliate, if not one of the top affiliates for nearly all the good product launches out there, but in recent years has slowly lost the edge we all use to love about RJ. He would call something crap when he saw that it was crap, and offer really amazing bonuses for things that were quality products…
He actually sent 3 emails to promote Google Shadow…Sad day indeed…
Another gripe I have about Google Shadow is that we were all told that this marketer “Tim” shuns 99% of affiliate campaigns…
See the screen shot below

Shadow? More Like Shady
I think they said this to make the prospects feel like Tim had some secret affiliate campaigns, or profitable niches that he would reveal…Let me tell you, that couldn’t be further from the truth. This guy prides himself on his software being able to write 100 adgroups per hour, and empty an entire affiliate network of it’s offers, before moving on to the next network…
Wow…wow
In Chris’ defense, he isn’t the author of this ebook. For all I know, maybe he offered to release it with the DJK brand on it as a favor for a friend of his.
I know he’s not that bad of a teacher when he tries, and can actually hold his own when it comes to clever marketing tactics and such.
As an unannounced bonus, customers of Google Shadow were given “Adwords Miracle”, which actually is an amazing PPC guide. This was obviously to supplement the lack of content in the 47 pages of Google Shadow.
But for those wanting to see a good product, I’m recommending you bypass Google Shadow, and it’s monthly fee. Go buy yourself a copy of Adwords Miracle. It’s mostly all still applicable today, and most of those who purchased it probably don’t even utilize the methods taught inside it.
If you —–> Buy Adwords Miracle <—— , post here on this thread, and I’ll put you on my rebate list for 60 days from your purchase for a $10 rebate.
If you PROMISE not to refund, I’ll send you $10 via Pay Pal intantly after reading your post (include your pay pal email). I’ll take you at your word on the honor system on this one…because honestly Adwords Miracle is worth what you pay. UNLIKE Google Shadow…So I don’t see you asking for a refund.

Posted on February 12th, 2009 at 7:24 pmThank you! How refreshing it is to hear a real review of something, and not just another sales pitch. I do understand that we are all in it to make money, but affiliates who knowingly promote crap really get under my skin! Keep em coming!

Posted on February 12th, 2009 at 8:41 pmThat’s excellent Brian!
I had my suspicions as I have been extremely disappointed with a lot of the products released generally of late.. The more hype the worse they seem to be and boy was that hyped.. I noticed a lot of the same ’style’ in his sales copy as his previous stuff so that alerted me right away.
I actually find it disgusting how these sales letters verge on outright lies a great deal these days but thankfully I’ve been around enough to spot them now.
I wasn’t interested at any stage and my suspicions were confirmed by a forum buddy who purchased and quickly filled me in on how different it was to the impression given.. I.E NOTHING NEW!!!!
Rant over..
Keep up the good work Brian
Best wishes
Andy

Posted on February 12th, 2009 at 10:22 pmJust chiming in, Thanks for an honest review this is what will make people really listen to what you have to say. I briefly looked at the sales page, didn’t really read it but noticed that it looked a great deal like many of the other offers Chris has put out lately. I have been disappointed by several of these launches which specifically have the upsell of joining a membership. It seems that most of them don’t truly deliver and the sponsors are just interested in getting as much money out of those who join, before they wise up and cancel. Then it’s off to promoting the next launch. Please keep doing these reviews and be honest. You may upset some big league marketers, but those of us who are trying to get a break and learn how to actually make some money from online marketing, greatly appreciate it, and in turn will turn to you for advice.
Keep it up Brian

Posted on February 12th, 2009 at 11:44 pmJoe, you said it man! It’s people like US (I’m no millionaire YET) who are still trying to learn what works and what doesn’t that need a place to turn. That’s why I started Tactic Tester and I’m so thrilled to see the response after only a week of being open. Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone, its MUCH appreciated! I’ll keep churning out reviews for the products you request!

Posted on February 13th, 2009 at 12:05 amNice review Brian.
I never believe in IM product anymore , they are so rehashed from older version and i don’t think they will sell their method if its making them money , they will sell the method when it gets saturated or the profit is going down hill.
Thats why i seldom read buyers of expensive IM products making money like the IM marketer claimed.

Posted on February 13th, 2009 at 5:27 amAnybody heard Adwords will send you to the
poorhouse these days?
Guys like Chris X and his co-hordes of bootlicking affiliates
are just acting out their roles as Google’s pimps.
They’re out to make Google stocks rise higher. That’s all.
For that they get extra privileges, aka lower CPC, higher
rankings and more traffic to their Adsense websites!
So it’s Google and her Pimps who get richer,
not YOU, the customer.
The Shadow software is your fast-track ticket to
draining your bank account, if you venture into
Adwords without professional expertise.

Posted on February 13th, 2009 at 10:04 amDear Brian :
Hello. My heartfelt compliments for showing “courage in action” by taking on the “BIG GUYS” and saying it like it is.
We all have seen people talk about walking on the Godly good path and avoiding greed. It is difficult as well as easy – Difficult when the only aim is money and easy when the soul (sole) aim is God and his path.
Thanks Brian, for being the wonderful person you are.
Lots of love and giant panda hugs. Take care. God Bless.

Posted on February 13th, 2009 at 5:07 pmSo there is no secret affiliate program this shadow uses? WOW
That was the part I was most interested in.

Posted on February 14th, 2009 at 2:28 amBrian,
I have bought a lot of Chris’s products (found DJK and Project X real Eye Openers) but gave up after Assassin because I found them an ongoing drain but couldn’t find the time or enthusiasm to make them work for me. I didn’t buy Nemesis, but I was taken in by the Hype on this one as so many others promoted it. So, I bought The Shadow, read it through tonight, just can’t see that it will work for me as it’s mind-numbingly repetitive.
Granted, I haven’t tried the software, but I’m not going to – it’s the first of his products that I’ll ask for a refund on and I’m really disappointed.
Well said in your review, I’ll keep watching out for your material from now on!!!!

Posted on February 14th, 2009 at 4:06 pmHi Brian, thanks for your honest review.
for me to speed 100CDN dollars on this at this time is not possible.
glad i found your site on the warrior forum

Posted on February 15th, 2009 at 2:27 pmAppreciate your honesty – however ,having read all 3 of them, I did not think DJK< Project X or Adwords Miracle were good products either – sorry!
If anyone wants a decent guide to Adwords I would get Perry Marshall’s ebook and read the (free) Google Adwords help files: http://adwords.google.com/support/
Almost all of the other Adwords stuff out there is just a poor quality rehash of one or both of the above.
If these “gurus” are such great marketers why do they do nothing more than constantly promote each others crappy, overhyped, overpriced products? Never had any useful newsletter content from any of them – just cut and paste emails promoting the latest “must have” from one of their internet marketing buddies. This month it’s “Google Shadow”, next month something else and on it goes…

Posted on February 20th, 2009 at 11:10 pmThanks you so much for re-enforcing my decision to return this product.
I felt exactly the same way about it.
I am looking for some system that is reliable and makes sense to take real action.
Is commission junction a good alternative?
What do you think about Google Cash Detective?
Thanks for this great review.
Brian
Posted on February 21st, 2009 at 1:53 amSonia, my highest recommendation would have to go to The Site Rush, see my review for it in the featured section on the blog. Commission Blueprint would be a good alternative for PPC if that’s what you’re into, but The Site Rush is a very good easy to follow product that will help you make money, possibly even today.
Hope that helps and glad you liked my review of Google Shadow
